A day prior to the exhibition on the 29th of October a Congress session “Economic Advantages of Intelligent Buildings” was held. The key topic was the return on investment into intelligent buildings construction and their serviceability. Participants noted that buildings automation means improved building security, lower energy costs at the account of diminishing of equipment idle and stand-by time. The issue became acute now as we understand that cost of energy resources in Russia will grow by 25-30% annually and will reach European level by 2011 (about 15 eurocents per kW\h). So the issues of energy saving will be at the top or at least one of the main themes soon. As for the prospects of building automation market, the demand for intelligent buildings grows more rapidly than before. Now the Intelligent Building construction market volume increases by 30% annually. The leading share of this growth is accounted to the skyscrapers automation in Moscow-City Business Centre.
In the framework of the exhibition specialized congress sessions devoted to specifics of offices, arenas and stadiums, hotels, residential houses automation, and passive houses were also held.
