Technologies for energy-efficient building construction, Passive House
The 7-th International Exhibition and Congress HI-TECH BUILDING & House 2008 took place in Moscow from October 30 till November 1, 2008. The Exhibition is a unique event in Russia and the CIS countries presenting intelligent technologies for solutions for building automation and management.
Traditionally full range of equipment used in modern buildings automation was presented: building automation and control systems, climate-control systems, security systems, lighting control systems, IT solutions for buildings, power-conservation technologies, energy-efficient building technologies, Passive Houses, Intelligent Buildings and Smart Houses projects and much more.
Much attention was drawn to the new theme of the Exhibition: Technologies for energy-efficient building construction and passive houses. The presented special materials and technologies proved sufficient reduction of energy-use in buildings and houses making them passive, i.e. not requiring additional heating sources.

STATISTICS OF INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS
The International Congress Session “Economic benefits of Building Management Systems in commercial and residential applications” was held in Moscow, on October 29, 2008, the day before start of the Exhibition �HI-TECH BUILDING & House 2008�.
Over 150 specialists visited Congress, among them developers, investors, property owners, architects and designers, manufacturers, system integrators, Moscow and Federal government officials, oil-and-gas companies, management and insurance companies.
The most acute issues of building automation intelligent technologies’ market were discussed at the International Congress.

During the �HI-TECH BUILDING & House 2008� (October 30 � November 1, 2008) - Specialized Sessions of the Congress were held in Crocus Expo Convention Center:

Cooperation between customers, architects and installers at the different phases of the project were discussed in the Specialized seminar for architects. The participants of the Seminar exchanged the operational recommendations on �How to build a Smart House?�
